Monday, Jan. 30: At 9:50 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 800 block of Hills Ave in Highland Township. At 1:47 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 1900 block of 140th St in Paton Township At 6:05 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on D Avenue near 130th St in Cedar Township. Nancy Janssen, 62, of Auburn struck a deer with a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500. Damage to the pickup truck was estimated at $2,000.

Saturday, Jan. 28: At 2:05 am a deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 30 near Highway 4. Anthony Banks, 44, of Ankeny was arrested for driving while license barred*. At 10:14 am a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 2200 block of 120th St in Paton Township.

Thursday, Jan. 26: At 4:29 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 1200 block of Head St in Churdan.
Wednesday, Jan. 25: At 1:35 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 4 near 190th St north of Jefferson. At 3:01 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 4 near 190th St north of Jefferson. At 3:15 pm a deputy investigated a scam in the 1800 block of 315th St in Franklin Township. At 4:02 pm a deputy assisted the Boone County sheriff’s office with a personal injury accident on U Ave and 325th St in Washington Township. At 4:10 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 144 and 230th near Grand Junction. At 4:52 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 30 and T Ave west of Grand Junction. At 5:27 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 30 near Kirkwood Ave west of Jefferson. At 5:43 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 30 near Pioneer Ave east of Jefferson. At 9:34 pm a deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on Highway 30 near Pioneer Ave east of Jefferson.

Sunday, Jan. 22: At 11 am a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 700 block of Eagle St in Scranton. At 11:04 am a deputy investigated a report of a fire in the 2400 block of 337th St in Washington Township. An unreported controlled burn was located. At 10:19 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 600 block of E. Hager St in Grand Junction.
Saturday, Jan. 21: At 5:49 am a deputy, Grand Junction fire, Paton fire, Jefferson fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a structure fire in the 1800 block of 170th St in Junction Township. A garage had caught fire. The suspected cause of the fire was a brush pile that was burning near the building. At 11:41 am a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 100 block of 240th St in Scranton Township.
Friday, Jan. 20: At 11:22 am a deputy investigated a phone scam in the 200 block of Eaton Ave in Cedar Township.
Thursday, Jan. 19: At 4:54 am a deputy investigated a complaint of a low hanging power line in the 400 block of 11th St in Grand Junction. At 10:17 am the sheriff assisted with a house fire in the 400 block of E. State St in Jefferson. Jefferson fire, Grand Junction fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to the fire. At 4:27 pm a deputy and Grand Junction fire responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Eckstine St in Dana. There was a hot outlet found with no damage to the house.
Wednesday, Jan. 18: At 6:55 am a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on Highway 30 and J Ave west of Jefferson. Jerry Mills, 48, of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2007 Toyota Tundra. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $900. At 7:17 am a deputy assisted with cattle out on W Ave near 240th St in Junction Township. At 11:42 am the sheriff investigated a complaint of fraud in the 400 block of E. Hager in Grand Junction. At 12:53 pm the sheriff investigated a child custody dispute in the 1900 block of 130th St in Paton Township. At 3:42 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of animal neglect in the 1100 block of Forest Ave in Bristol Township.
Tuesday, Jan. 17: At 2:35 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of burning in the 400 block of S. 12th St in Grand Junction. At 4:25 pm a deputy assisted with cattle out on W Ave near 240th St in Junction Township.
Monday, Jan. 16: At 10:52 am a deputy investigated a complaint of animal cruelty in the 600 block of S. 11th St in Grand Junction. At 6:27 pm a deputy investigated a car-deer accident on Highway 30 near Oakland Ave east of Jefferson. David Most, 48, of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2006 Dodge Ram. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000.

Friday, Jan. 13: At 6:03 pm a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on Highway 144 near 260th St in Junction Township. At 10 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a truck being driven around in a field and then into the ditch. Dillian Davis, 24, of Lake City was arrested for operating while under the influence- third offense*. He was cited for failure to maintain control and open container.
Thursday, Jan. 12: At 8 am a deputy investigated a complaint of sparking power lines in the 1900 block of 257th St south of Jefferson.
Wednesday, Jan. 11: At 8 am a deputy removed a deer from the roadway in the 1000 block of Highway 30 near the river bridge. At 3:07 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of criminal mischief in the 200 block of N. 13th St in Grand Junction. At 6:35 pm a deputy conducted tobacco compliance checks around the county. Hy-Vee grocery store was found to be non-compliant.
Tuesday, Jan. 11: At 2:39 pm a deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 1900 mile of J Ave in Greenbrier Township. At 9:34 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton.
Monday, Jan. 10: At 9:11 am a deputy, the sheriff, Greene County Ambulance, and Scranton fire responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 30 at F Ave east of Scranton. Joseph Ure, 68, of Grand Junction lost control of a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and rolled the vehicle once in the north ditch. He was not injured. Damage to the pickup truck was estimated at $8,000. At 8:02 pm a deputy, the sheriff, and a state trooper assisted with a semi that went into the ditch on Highway 144 near Dana.

At 8:54 am a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass on H Ave near 240th St in Jackson Township. At 12:45 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of trespass in the 1400 block of Highway 144 at Grand Junction. At 1 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 2100 block of 240th St in Junction Township.
Friday, Jan. 6: At 5:23 am a deputy investigated a complaint of theft in the 900 block of Percival St in Grand Junction. At 6:45 pm a deputy arrested James Cunningham, 48, of Jefferson for a probation violation*.
Thursday, Jan. 5: At 6:58 pm a deputy removed a deer from the roadway on County Road E-53 near the river bridge west of Jefferson.

Tuesday, Jan. 3: At 9:03 am a deputy investigated a complaint of kids with a BB gun in the 700 block of S. 11th St, Grand Junction. At 10:15 am a deputy assisted with pigs out on W Ave north of Highway 30 east of Grand Junction.
Monday, Jan. 2: At 4:03 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a possible burglary in the 100 block of W. Central Ave. At 6:08 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a power line on fire on Highway 4 near 305th St in Franklin Township.
Sunday, Jan. 1: At 12:31 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of harassment in the 1900 block of L Ave in Greenbrier Township. At 6:30 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of N. 18th St in Grand Junction. At 10:51 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an arrest at Wild Rose Casino.
